Results – Lost 3 – 2 at UNCW, Lost 2 – 1 at The College of Charleston
Summary – The Dragons were swept on their trip to the Carolinas dropping one goal decisions in each game. Vanessa Kara scored two goals on the trip (one in each game). Goal Keeper Eve Badana made a total of nine saves for Drexel.

Results – Idle
Summary – The Explorers were idle this week. LSU will start Atlantic 10 play at UMass.

PENN – 4 – 2 – 2 Overall, 0 – 1 – 0 Ivy League
Results – Lost 2 – 0 at Harvard
Summary – The Quakers opened Ivy League play against defending champion Harvard. Penn was out- shot 25 – 5. Goal Keeper Carrie Cook made nine saves. The Red and Blue managed two shots on goal.

Result – Won 2 – 0 vs. LIU Brooklyn at Sweeney Field
Summary – It was a men’s – women’s soccer double-header at Sweeney Field. The result was an SJU sweep. In women’s soccer against LIU Brooklyn Shannon Westhead opened the scoring at the 7:17 mark of the match. Emily Gingrich assisted on the goal, then cored one of her own three and a half minutes later. The Hawks had a 26 – 8 edge in shots.

Results – Lost 1 – 0 at UCF, Lost 1 – 0 at #24 USF
Summary – The Owls opened conference play with a trip to Florida where the team suffered back-to-back losses. The Cherry and White managed three shots on goal for the week, and were out-shot by a combined 38 – 11 margin. Goal Keeper Jordan Nash made a total of 13 saves.

VILLANOVA 1 – 9 – 0 Overall, 0 – 1 – 0 Big East
Results – Lost 3 – 0 at Butler
Summary – Butler claimed their first win over Villanova in the series. The Bulldogs scored all three of their goals in the first half to make the difference. The Wildcats had a 5 – 2 edge in corner kicks, but were out-shot 12 – 8.
