Devon Kane ended her regular season scoring in double figures in 12 of her last 13 games and did so for the 21st time this season. Over the last three games Kane scored 19 points against De Paul, 16 at Xavier, and then scored a career-high 23 points in her Senior Night game against Marquette. Kane also posted 8 assists, a career-best 5 steals and 4 rebounds against the Golden Eagles.

Summary –

La Salle 68 Duquesne 63 – A 16 – 3 run by the Explorers in the last seven minutes capped a come from behind victory. Michaya Owens scored a game-high tying 23 points for La Salle.

La Salle 55 Saint Bonaventure 49 – The Explorers took a double-digit lead early in the second half and held off the Bonnies to get the win. The Bonnies occupied second place in the Atlantic 10. Alicia Cropper led La Salle with 17 points.

Penn 70 Brown 54 – Kara Bonenberger scored a season-high 22 points and Sydney Stipanovich recorded her fourth straight double-double to power Penn past Brown. The Red and Blue out-rebounded the Bears 47 – 25 taking a 28 – 7 edge in second chance points.

Penn 62 Yale 48 – Kathleen Roche tied a career-high 6 made three-pointers en route to a game-high 20 points as Penn defeated Yale to get their 19th win of the season, the second most wins in program history. Alyssa Baron scored 16 points to bring her career total points to 1,748 surpassing Jewel Clark for second place in all-time scoring in women’s basketball. Results – Lost 67 – 58 at Rutgers, Won 64 – 54 at UCF, Won 66 – 54 vs. Houston at McGonigle Hall

Summary –

Rutgers 67 Temple 58 – The Owls got to within 57 – 55 in the last two and a half minutes, but the Scarlet Knights closed the game with a 10 – 3 run to get the win. Feyonda Fitzgerald led Temple with 17 points, Tyonna Williams added 15 points.

Temple 64 UCF 54 – The Owls took control in the second half behind a 9 – 0 run and stretched that lead to double-digits in the victory. Rateska Brown led the Cherry and White with 13 points while Monaye Merritt scored 12 points. Feyonda Fitzgerald contributed 10 points going 4 for 4 from the foul line.

Temple 66 Houston 54 – Senior forward Natasha Thames scored 16 points on Senior Day along with freshman guard Feyonda Fitzgerald to lead the Owls to the victory. Erica Coville added 12 points.

Results – Lost 71 – 56 vs. De Paul at the Pavilion, Won 57 – 55 at Xavier, Won 81 – 64 vs. Marquette at the Pavilion

Summary –

De Paul 71 Villanova 56 – The Blue Demons scored a season-low 71 points, but was enough to get the win. The Wildcats were led by Devon Kane who scored 19 points. She has scored in double-figures in 10 of the last 11 games. Taylor Holeman added 10 points for the Blue and White.

Villanova 57 Xavier 55 – The Wildcats connected on 14 three-point shots in the win at Cincinnati. Devon Kane scored 16 points for Villanova, her 20th double-figures scoring game this season. Katherine Coyer had an all-around game scoring 12 points while adding 6 assists and 4 blocked shots.

Summary –

Drexel 56 UNCW 45 – The Dragons ended their three game losing streak holding an opponent to under 50 points for the ninth time this season. Tory Thierolf led the way on offense matching her career-high with 16 points.

Hofstra 60 Drexel 58 – The Dragons made a late charge, but could not get the tying points in the loss at Hofstra. Fiona Flanagan had 11 points to lead Drexel in scoring. Tory Thierolf contributed 10 points.

Drexel 82 Towson 40 – The Dragons started quickly on Senior Night breezing by Towson. Four Drexel players scored in double-figures led by Tory Thierolf and Carrie Alexander with 14 points. Rachel Pearson tallied 12 points while Jackie Schluth added 10. Fiona Flanagan made 3 of 4 three-point shots. For her career she has hit 199 of 299 from beyond the arc for a career mark of above 40%.
