PHILADELPHIA, PA. 12/18/2016 – The Drexel Dragons were led by Rodney Williams recording his seventh career double-double easily defeating the Division III, NJAC member, Kean Cougars 84 – 44 at the DAC. Williams scored 16 points and took down 11 rebounds en route to the win.
Two other Drexel players scored in double-digits. Sammy Mojica also scored 16 points while Kari Jonsson added 11 points. Point guard Kurk Lee set his career-mark with 10 assists while scoring 8 points. Jeremy Peck had his first career double digit rebound game snaring 10.
The Dragons got it rolling early scoring the first 13 points of the game. They followed that by posting 9 of the next 11 points. The halftime lead was 42 – 18.
The Dragons had 1.254 points per possession while the visitors scored .657 points per possession.
Forward Mike Summerer was the leading scorer for the Cougars with 11 points. Guard Micah Kerr added 10 points.
The Dragons (5 – 6) broke a two-game losing skid, and they will take the floor next time on Wednesday at Quinnipiac.
The Cougars are still searching for their first win of the season against ten losses.
