It is a new beginning for the Men’s Big Five. Drexel is a full fledged member, the pods are set, the schedule is published. The Big Five games will be played in November. The championship and final standings are to be decided in a December 2 triple-header at the Wells Fargo Center.
In the new format the six teams are divided into two pods. For the teams in each pod there is a round-robin format to decide placement within. The games will be played at the designated on-campus site of the home team. The winner of each pod will play at the Wells Fargo Center for the championship. The second-place teams will play that day to decide who will finish third. The third seeds from each pod will play for fifth place.
This season; Pod 1 consists of Drexel, La Salle, and Temple while Pod 2 will be Penn, Saint Joseph’s, and Villanova.

Monday, November 6 – Drexel at La Salle
Friday, November 10 – Penn at Saint Joseph’s
Monday, November 13 – Villanova at Penn
Tuesday, November 14 – Temple at Drexel
Wednesday, November 29 – Neighborhood rivalry game as Saint Joseph’s travels up Lancaster Avenue to play at Villanova and La Salle heads down Broad Street for a clash with Temple
Saturday, December 2 – The Big Five Tripleheader at the Wells Fargo Center
