Temple Football Reaching Out With Special Promotions for the 2023 Season

The calendar says we are in the midst of summer. But not too far away the thoughts of football enter into our mindset. Temple Football has begun to schedule promotions for its upcoming season. Opening Day will be on September 3 against Akron, just over a month away.

The Owls have seven home games at Lincoln Financial Field and all have a special promotion scheduled. Let’s take a look as there are giveaways, activities, and honors at each game as Temple competes in the newly configured American Athletic Conference.

September 2 vs. Akron – getting the family involved there will be a Parent-Child Touchdown Toss where kids in the eighth grade or younger can catch a touchdown catch after the game. Kids, the same field where the Owls and Eagles haul in touchdown catches. Think about it, Amad Anderson, Jr. DeVonta Smith, and you!

September 16 vs. Norfolk State – for a Community Appreciation, Junior Spirit, High School Band Day.

September 23 vs. Miami – The Hurricanes from the ACC visit the Linc. Temple will host not only the ‘U’ they will have a Celebration of Champions. It is Joe Klecko Pro Football Hall of Fame Recognition and Replica Jersey Giveaway (first 2,500 fans). And a Thundersticks giveaway.

October 7 vs. UTSA for Homecoming Day. Welcome Back Alumni! The school will recognize the Temple Hall of Fame Inductees, then end the day with another Parent-Child Touchdown Toss.

October 20 – vs. SMU on Cancer Awareness Day. The fans will receive Thundersticks.

November 4 vs. Navy – it is only fitting that the game against a Military Service Academy is also Military Appreciation Day.

November 25 vs. Memphis is Fan Appreciation Day. More details will be made available in the near future.
