And More

US Ryder Cup Team — You really need an explanation? Oops, never mind. Upon further review the Americans almost pulled off a festivus miracle. Blame premature evaluation. See you in two years in Ireland.
Southern Cal — Was only a touchdown favorite on road. But probably shouldn’t be losing to an Illinois team on last-second field goal that gave up 60 a week before at Indiana.
Florida State — I know the Noles were only a TD fave on Friday night at Virginia. But they probably still shouldn’t be losing for first time. Even if it did go two overtimes.
Penn State — James Franklin took ownership. Again. I know the Nits rallied and lost in double OT. But they almost never win games like this. And it’s getting tiresome. And everyone knows it. See you against Indiana.
Syracuse — It’s Ok to lose to Duke. Even at home. Even the week after you won at Clemson. But 38-3? I don’t think so. Biggest home loss since joining ACC in 2013.
Dishonorable Mentions
Georgia — Aways Ok to lose to Alabama. Even without Saban. But the Dawgs were home where they had won 33 straight. In a revenge spot. And Bama had already lost. Kirby Smart has still only beaten Bama once. But at least that was for a national title. One of his two. So he gets some slack. Just not sure how the folks in Athens feel about that.
LSU — No sin to lose at Ole Miss in what was essentially a pick ’em spot. But is it at least Ok to ask Brian Kelly questions about the state of his offense now?
Arkansas – It’s OK to lose to Notre Dame. Even at home, but maybe not by 54 – 13. Arkansas must have agreed because the coach is now gone.
The Mets – Went from 45 – 24 on June 12 to out of the playoffs.
