Players of the Week

Mataya Gayle, Penn who scored a career-high 28 points and was instrumental in the victory over Maine. Gayle made 10 of 20 field goal attempts and was successful on two from beyond the arc. Gayle added 3 steals, 3 assists, and took down 7 rebounds. The freshman guard sank 6 of 8 free throw attempts. Gayle followed the next day with a 14 point, 4 assist effort in 18 minutes against Gwynedd Mercy.

Lucy Olsen, Villanova who scored her 1,000th career point against Xavier. The milestone basket came at the 3:36 mark of the fourth quarter on a layup. For the game Olsen scored 31 points making 12 of 27 field goal attempts. Olsen was a perfect 5 for 5 from the charity stripe. The junior guard had a game-high 5 steals. She added 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Olsen now stands at 1,001 career-points.
