Is it me or is it hard to believe it’s almost November. Time really flies the older you get.
Southern Cal — I know Trojans were only a slight favorite at Wisconsin. But if you want to be taken seriously you can’t lose this game. Sorry. Final was 24-7. Good thing visitors led 7-3 late in second quarter.
Oregon — I know the Ducks are still playing their backup quarterback. But they were favored by 10 at Illinois. And lost 21-10. Good thing they led 10-0 late in second too.
Texas Tech — Almost everyone has to lose at some point. But the eighth-ranked team was favored by 11 at Cincinnati. Red Raiders lost 37-24. Good thing they scored a touchdown with a minute to go.
Brigham Young — Another now former unbeaten. One week after beating unbeaten Notre Dame the Cougars lost in double overtime at Central Florida, which was a TD underdog. It happens.
Iowa — Was favored by seven at Minnesota. Lost 13-10. Hey somebody had to grab the last spot.
