The Bright Shining Stars for Drexel athletics is the first of a series for the Philly Division I programs. For each School a Team of the Year and Player of the Year will be named along with Honorable Mention for each.
For team recognition the look is for a title, postseason advancement, and / or a significant achievement. The players criterion there is an national or league award or honor, team record, and significant achievement.
We start with Drexel.
Team of the Year – Women’s Lacrosse
Player of the Year – Keishanna Washington
Team Honorable Mention
Women’s Soccer
Women’s Basketball
Men’s Rowing – The Dragon rowers won their second straight Dad Vail Regatta men’s point total, and experienced their best ever finish at the IRA Nationals.
Men’s Squash – The team had their best ever finish at the Potter Cup, ranking fifth in the nation.
