Keishana Washington and Aleah Nelson Are the Co-Players of the Week

Players of the Week

Keishana Washington – Drexel – who scored a career-high 42 points in Drexel’s overtime win over Penn State. All of her points came before the extra five minutes which gives Washington the highest number of points scored in regulation in program-history. Earlier in the week the graduate guard scored 32 in the win over Dartmouth. She has 30 or more points in 6 games this season, 4 consecutive. Washington made 26 of 46 field goal attempts, and went 3 for 8 from distance. From the free throw line Washington converted 15 of 18 in the Penn State game.

Aleah Nelson – Temple – who reached the 1,000 career-points plateau getting 33 in the win over Duquesne. The last Owls player who scored 33 was Mia Davis in the 2020-21 season. Her point total is the second most of any player in the American this season. Nelson went 11 of 23 from the field, and converted 7 of 17 three-pointers. The 7 three’s ties her for the most made three-point field goals this season with two other players. Nelson also added 4 rebounds and 6 assists to the stat line.
