Kayla Padilla and Maddy Siegrist Share Player of the Week Award

Players of the Week

Kayla Padilla – Penn – who reached the 1,000th point plateau. Her milestone basket came in just 58 games, third fastest in program history. Padilla converted a layup with 6 seconds to play lifting Penn to a 62 – 61 win over Temple where she scored a game-high 28 points. The Red and Blue defeated Saint Francis of Brooklyn in their other contest. The senior guard totaled 48 points over the two-game week for the Quakers, shooting 17 of 33 from the floor and drained 12 of 23 from beyond the arc. Padilla added 9 assists over the week.

Maddy Siegrist – Villanova – who scored a game-high in points as Villanova defeated American U. and Saint Joseph’s over the week. Siegrist had 24 against American and 31 in the win over Saint Joseph’s where Nova clinched a share of the Big Five crown. The senior forward moved into fourth-place in rebounds in program-history. She has 864 caroms, 5 shy of third place currently occupied by Courtney Mix. Siegrist made 21 of 37 field goal attempts and was good on 6 of 11 three-pointers, while adding 15 rebounds over the past two games.
