Villanova Early Season Men’s Basketball Schedule Announced

The men’s basketball early season basketball schedule has been revealed by the university in a release today. The early season schedule is made up of eight games to be played in November and December. It consists of season-opening participation in the 2K Empire Classic, three Big East contests, two Big Five games, and an intersectional game against defending national champion Virginia. The games are scheduled for November 25th through December 23rd. The Wildcats will have four home games.

The remainder of the 2020-21 schedule including the balance of the Big East slate of games and two more non-conference clashes will be announced at a later date.

The curtain rises with the 2K Empire Classic in Uncasville, CT. on the 25th and 26th of November with two games. The participating teams with Villanova include Arizona State, Baylor, and Boston College.

The next two games are city series games at home against Saint Joseph’s on November 30th and a December 3rd game with Temple.

The Big East games commence on December 11 when Nova visits Georgetown. The Wildcats come home to play DePaul and Butler on December 14 and 16.

On December 19 Villanova meets Virginia in a battle of the last two national champions at Madison Square Garden.

The early season schedule concludes on December 23rd at Marquette.

The games at Finneran Pavilion during this stretch will be played in front of only student-athlete families, students, faculty, and staff. The maximum crowd size is no more than 15% of the 6,501 facility capacity which will be roughly 975 people in the building.

Game times and television information will be announced at a later date.
