The women’s basketball pairings have been announced by the Atlantic 10 Conference. The La Salle Explorers and Saint Joseph’s Hawks are the Philly members of the league and will play each other on a home and home basis again for the upcoming season.
The A10 will play a 16-game slate for women’s basketball. Each team will play everyone in conference. Three teams will meet each other in a home-and-home series. The remainder of the schedule will consist of five home games and five road games.
For La Salle they will meet Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure two times during the season in addition to the dual meeting with Saint Joe’s. Coming to the Gola Arena will be Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, and Massachusetts. The Explorers will go on the road to Davidson, Dayton, Richmond, Saint Louis, and VCU.
The Hawks have two league games with George Mason and St. Bonaventure in addition to the series with La Salle. They will play host to Davidson, Duquesne, Rhode Island, Saint Louis, and VCU at the Hagan Arena. Saint Joe’s will visit Dayton, George Washington, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Richmond.
The Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 5 – 7 at the Stuart C. Siegel Center in Richmond, the home of the VCU Rams. The first round games will on campus sites. The game days and times will be announced at a later date.
