Drexel Falls To Virginia Tech In Rugby Championships Pool Round

CHESTER, PA. 6/4/2016 – The Drexel Dragons finished pool round play at the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championships at Talen Energy Stadium.   Drexel completed pool play with an 0 – 3 record falling to Virginia Tech 24 – 7.

The Dragons gave up the first two tries of the game, but got back into the game with 4:53 to play in the first half on a try by Cody Bukowski to make the score 12 – 7.

The Hokies finished the game with a try at the 35 second mark of the half, then got the only score of the second half at the 5:18 mark.

Drexel will continue to play in the tournament on Sunday against an opponent to be determined.
