Sydney Stipanovich, Penn – The junior forward scored a season-high 27 points in the win against Drexel and added 9 rebounds. Two days later Stipanovich posted a double-double against Wagner where she scored 18 points and pulled down 12 caroms. For the week the Quaker forward had 45 points while adding 21 rebounds and blocked 4 shots.

LA SALLE 1 – 9 Overall, 0 – 0 Atlantic 10, 0 – 2 Big Five
Results – Lost 69 – 63 vs. North Texas, Lost 67 – 56 vs. Villanova both at The Tom Gola Arena
Summary – The Explorers fell twice over the week. La Salle did get a career-high from Amy Griffin who set a career-mark with 26 points against North Texas and followed that with a game-high 23 against Big Five foe Villanova. Jasmine Alston took down a team-high 6 rebounds vs. North Texas, then got a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards in the Villanova game.
Next Game – 12/29/2015 vs. St. Francis, Brooklyn at the Monmouth Post-Christmas Tournament
PENN 7 – 2 Overall, 0 – 0 Ivy League, 0 – 1 Big Five
Results – Won 72 – 67 vs. Drexel, Won 78 – 50 vs. Wagner both at The Palestra
Summary – Coach Mike McLaughlin picked up career win number 500 in the win against Drexel, and now has 501 as the Quakers dismantled Wagner. It was a big week for Sydney Stipanovich who reached a season-high 27 points against Drexel and scored 18 in the Wagner game in being named the Ivy League Player of the Week. Forward Michelle Nwokedi had two double-doubles and got a career-high 15 rebounds against the Dragons. Penn took the lead late against their neighbor breaking a 65-all tie en route the victory. Against Wagner the Red and Blue set a season-mark with 50 first half points.

SAINT JOSEPH’S 4 – 6 Overall, 0 – 0 Atlantic 10, 2 – 1 Big Five
Results – Lost 81 – 75 vs. Iona , Lost 91 – 55 vs. #3 Notre Dame both at The Hagan Arena
Summary – The Hawks had a game slip away late against Iona. Saint Joe’s played a good half staying close to nationally ranked Notre Dame trailing by 5 at intermission. The start of the second half was all Notre Dame who pulled away for a 36-point win. SJU is looking to put a forty-minute game together. Amanda Fioravanti scored a career-high 18 points against Iona and pulled down 5 rebounds. She grabbed a game-high 8 rebounds while scoring 12 against the Irish. Fioravanti made 12 of 13 for the week.

TEMPLE 6 – 4 Overall, 0 – 0 AAC, 2 – 1 Big Five
Results – Won 100 – 59 vs. Delaware State at Liacouris Center
Summary – The Owls exploded for 100 points, their first time in triple figures since posting 102 vs. Rutgers. Six different players scored in double figures with Tanaya Atkinson leading the way with 24 points, a career-high, and 9 rebounds. Alliya Butts scored 17 points and Erica Coville netted 16. As a team the Owls out rebounded the Hornets 48 – 29. Temple got separation with a 15 – 2 run in the second quarter and lead 53 – 25 at the half.

VILLANOVA 6 – 4 Overall, 0 – 0 Big East, 2 – 1 Big Five
Results – Won 67 – 56 at La Salle
Summary – The Wildcats used hot second half shooting to post their second city victory. Villanova was 13 for 20 from the floor over the last two quarters. The Cats led 35 – 32 with 6:24 in the third, then put the game away with a 12 – 2 run. Alex Louin led Villanova with 18 points with Caroline Coyer hitting for 14.

DREXEL 4 – 6 Overall, 0 – 0 CAA
Results – Lost 72 – 67 at Penn, Won 62 – 49 vs. Quinnipiac at the DAC
Summary – The Dragons shot 50% against Penn, and the game was tied at 62 late before the Red and Blue pulled away at the end. Rachel Pearson scored a game-high 17 points. Drexel bounced back beating Quinnipiac. Sarah Curran led the way for the Dragons with her first career double-double scoring 22 points and added 12 rebounds. Drexel defeated Quinnipiac, Hampton, and Saint Bonaventure. They lost to those three teams last season, so the Dragons got their revenge.
