Summary – Temple claimed a victory against Penn State on the gridiron for the first time in 74 years.  Once the Owls got rolling there was no doubt about the outcome.  The Owls sacked Nittany Lions quarterback Christian Hackenberg 10 times.  Three sacks were recorded by linebacker Tyler Matakevich, who tied a conference mark, and was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week.  Running back Jahad Thomas ran for 135 yards on 29 carries and was named to the weekly American Honor Roll.  Temple earned the AutoNation Football Writers Association of America “Team of the Week.”  The Owls have little time to celebrate as they travel to Cincinnati to play the defending conference champion and preseason favorite Bearcats.
