Langston Galloway scored 26 and 20 points in two outings for Saint Joseph’s. The Hawks senior guard did most of his damage in the first half that gave his team large halftime leads. In the outing against Duquesne Galloway also handed out a team-high 8 assists. Against Penn Galloway made 6 of 7 three-point attempts. For the week the senior was 12 of 17 from beyond the arc.

Results – Won 72 – 62 vs. Rhode Island at the Gola Arena, Won 74 – 68 vs. Temple at the Palestra
Summary –
La Salle 72 Rhode Island 62 – The Explorers stayed unbeaten in conference defeating Rhode Island. Four Explorer players scored in double figures led by guard Tyreek Duren with 15 points. Forwards Jerrell Wright and Steve Zack posted double-doubles. Wright scored 14 points and took down 10 rebounds while Zack had 11 and 10. Guard Sam Mills posted 11 points making a game-high 3 three-point baskets.

Summary –
Saint Joseph’s 84 Duquesne 75 – Guard Langston Galloway scored 24 of his game-high 26 points in the first half to give the Hawks a 52 – 20 halftime lead. Galloway also led the team in assists with 8. In that first half the Hawks shot 71.4% from the floor making 20 of 28 shots, and 12 of 18 from beyond the arc. For the game Saint Joe’s had 27 assists on 31 baskets. Fellow guard Chris Wilson posted 16 points for the Hawks.

Summary –
#19/23 Cincinnati 69 Temple 58 – The Owls held a 49 – 47 lead with just under seven minutes remaining. The Bearcats answered with a 22 – 7 run to close out the game. Guard Dalton Pepper led Temple with 21 points, four baskets from three-point land. Guard Quenton DeCosey added 17 points. Forward Anthony Lee registered his seventh double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Temple played without point guard Will Cummings who was medically cleared to play, but did not make the trip.

Result – Won 88 – 62 vs. DePaul at the Pavilion
Summary –
#6 Villanova 88 DePaul 62 – The Wildcats posted their 13th straight home victory posting back to last season. Forward Daniel Ochefu led the way with 14 points, his career-high, shooting a perfect 6 for 6 from the field. Ochefu also 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocked shots. Guard James Bell had game-high 17 points for the Wildcats. Guards Ryan Arcidiacono, Josh Hart, and Darrun Hilliard notched double-figures scoring with 14, 13, and 11 points for the team. For the game Villanova shot 55.4% from the floor (31 – 56), and had 21 assists on 31 baskets. Eight Wildcat players had assists in the game.

DREXEL 10 – 7 Overall, 2 – 2 CAA
Results – Lost 80 – 68 vs. Towson at the DAC, Won 79 – 63 at UNCW
Summary –
Towson 80 Drexel 68 – The Dragons had four regulars out of the game due to injuries. Still, the gritty Dragons held an early lead until they fell victim to a 15 – 2 Towson run to lose 80 – 68. The Dragons cut the deficit to one on a three-pointer by guard Frantz Massenat, but the Tigers answered by scoring the next eight points. Towson forward Jerrelle Benimon scored a team-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Chris Fouch led Drexel 28 points.
Drexel 79 UNCW 63 – Trailing at halftime the Dragons rallied to win a road game in conference. Drexel started the second half with a 13 – 2 run with all points scored by the guard tandem of Frantz Massenat and Chris Fouch. The Dragons made 67% in the second half scoring 52 points. Freddie Wilson added 16 second half points for Drexel.
