Mike Kern’s final regular-season Fraud Five
Ohio State — Buckeyes were favored by 20 at home. Scored 10 points and lost by three. Ryan Day is 47-1 against Big Ten teams not named Michigan. And 1-4 against the Wolves. All four of those losses came when Bucks were ranked second. But they can still make a playoff run. He may have to. Just sayin.
Miami — Good thing the Canes led 21-0 at Syracuse. They can probably still have a chance to win a national title too. Good luck with that. Should we mention that the former Ohio State QB and former St Joe Prep product led the Orange? Oh well.
Tulane — Still in the American final at Army. But shouldn’t be losing at home to Memphis by 10 as a double-digit fave. Sorry. We grade hard here.
Flag planting — It has to stop. Please! See what happened at Ohio State, North Carolina and Florida State. Even my good friend and big-time Michigan fan said it ruined an otherwise glorious moment for him. I rest my case.
James Franklin — No need to be throwing a TD pass on last play of blowout at Maryland. After trying to throw one on previous play. He can give out all the reasons he wants. Just ain’t right. And its funny how those things usually tend to come back and bite you at some point. Just sayin. You can be better than that.
Hey it’s been a blast, as always. Maybe we will do something next week, if there’s enough material to sustain me. Or after the postseason.
