Philly Women’s College Basketball Weekly Awards – Three Share Player of the Week Award

Kayla Padilla, Jordan Obi, and Maddy Siegrist Players of the Week

Players of the Week

Kayla Padilla – Penn who averaged just over 20 points per game in three victories for the Red and Blue. Padilla made 20 of 41 field goal attempts, and drained 8 from beyond the arc. The senior guard was perfect from the free throw line making all 13 foul shots. Padilla scored 27 against Cornell and 21 in the win over Columbia. She has a total of six twenty-point games this season. Padilla turned in a crucial steal and layup, and a traditional three-point play in the Columbia game.

Jordan Obi – Penn who totaled 45 points over three games making 16 of 35 field goal attempts. Obi converted 11 of 16 free throws including a critical 9 of 13 from the charity stripe. Off the boards Obi pulled down a total of 33 caroms. She added 9 assists, 4 steals and blocked shots. In the Columbia game Obi was a major factor for Penn scoring 25 points going 7 for 12 from the floor and an important 9 of 13 from the foul line.

Maddy Siegrist – Villanova who averaged 32.5 points per game and 11.5 rebounds in wins over Georgetown and Butler, converting 55% of her shots. She turned in 29 points and 10 rebounds against Georgetown, and followed that with a 36 point, 13 rebound performance in the Butler game. Siegrist currently leads the nation in scoring average at 28.5 points per game, and in scoring with 485 total points.
