Drexel Men’s Soccer Earns NCAA Tournament Berth

The Drexel men’s soccer team will be making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1972 on Thursday, when the Dragons host the Brown Bears at Vidas Field on the corner of 43rd and Powelton Street at 4:00 p.m. Drexel (12-3-3) earned an at-large bid to the tournament after winning the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title. Led by third-year head coach Doug Hess, who took home the CAA’s Co-Coach of the Year Award, the Dragons will be facing Brown (12-2-3) for the first time in the programs’ history. The winner of Thursday’s game will advance to take on Maryland (17-1-2), the No. 2 seed in the tournament, in College Park on Sunday.
