The Fraud Five by Mike Kern – Week 13 in College Football

November 23, 2025 –

Not a great week. But Utah tried real hard to make it a little easier/better. Oh well. Coming up is rivalry week. So there should/could be more to work with. We’ll see.

Georgia Tech — Ranked. At home. Trying to get into ACC title game. But no. Lost to Pitt, which had just got trashed by Notre Dame at home, 42-28. After falling behind 28-0. It was nice while it lasted. Now it gets Georgia.

Louisville — It wasn’t that long ago that this team looked like it could be a factor.  While it’s no sin to lose at SMU, maybe losing 38-6 is.

Illinois — Was ranked 21st. Lost at Wisconsin 27-10. Shouldn’t happen. Badgers were 3-7.

East Carolina — This team is too whatever to be losing 58-24 at Texas-San Antone. As a slight fave. Sorry.

Nebraska — I’m obviously a Matt Rhule guy. Maybe his team wasn’t supposed to win at Penn State, where he could have been the next coach. But 37-10?  I don’t think so. And it really wasn’t even that close. Maybe he can reconsider.
