Drexel Eliminated By James Madison In CAA Women’s Basketball Tournament

#1 Seed James Madison Dukes 55   #4 Seed Drexel Dragons 43

CAA WBB 2014A 16 – 0 run that lasted 8 minutes and stretched over halftime proved to be the difference as the James Madison Dukes eliminated the Drexel Dragons in the semifinal round of the CAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in Upper Marlboro, MD.  Drexel finishes the season with a 15 – 16 record.

Seniors Fiona Flanagan and Abby Redick led the Dragons with 10 points each.  Flanagan took down a team-high 6 rebounds.  Sophomore Rachel Pearson contributed 9 points.

Kirby Burkholder, the CAA Player of the Year, led the Dukes with 11 points and a career-high 22 rebounds.

Despite the loss Drexel held James Madison to a season-low 55 points and 37.5% shooting.
